Prequel

Former radio DJ Lee Power tells a local student radio station why he turned his back on the industry to launch a paranormal investigation podcast.

Episode 1 – Hard Lines

Doug heads North from London to Edinburgh, as Lee enthusiastically reveals the details of his latest project – a podcast. 

Episode 2 – Going Underground

Lee and Doug head under the streets of Edinburgh to investigate an ancient vault. The pair plan to record episode one of Lee’s new podcast – The Terror Files. 

Episode 3 – Under Edinburgh

Lee and Doug explore the vaults and tunnels underneath Edinburgh. They’re in search of answers, but all they seem to find is more questions.

Episode 4 – Opportunities

Doug stands at the dawn of an exciting new career, whilst Lee reaches out to his radio news reporting pal Jane.

Episode 5 – Grim News

Lee releases episode 1 of his podcast, with a little help from Doug and Jane. He’s feeling good about things, but that might not last… 

Episode 6 – Alpin The Disemboweler

Lee hears the gruesome tale of a vicious cannibal warlord in 9th century Scotland.

Episode 7 – Matchday

George treats Lee to a day at the football to help him forget his troubles, but he’s got big worries of his own on the horizon. 

Episode 8 – The Island

Lee finds a new lead in the vaults saga, and receives an intriguing email from across the Atlantic. 

Episode 9 – Parklife

It’s a dog’s life for Dougie. Meanwhile, Lee has to politely decline George’s offer.

Episode 10 – Nice Day for a Fife Wedding

Plans for a trip North are discussed at George’s Wedding reception. And Lee meets Danielle for the first time.

Episode 11 – Grapes of Wrath

The Terror Files heads North for the show’s next big investigation.

Episode 12 – In Ruins

The Terror Files team arrive on the abandoned island of St Caillic.

Episode 13 – The Italian Jobbie

Randy and Gina enjoy George’s hospitality in Edinburgh, whilst the plot thickens out on St Caillic.

Episode 14 – An Abhorrent Evil

The details of St Caillic’s dark and horrifying past are revealed. 

Episode 15 – Scary Monsters

Darkness falls over the icy depths of the North Atlantic.

Episode 16 – One Star

Lee chats with a former member of the band he believes is linked to the Edinburgh vaults mystery. 

Episode 17 – We Built This City On Pies & Rolls

Doug’s burning the candle at both ends. Gina’s taking Randy to a famous Scottish tourist attraction. And Danielle has some shocking news for Lee.

Episode 18 – Trouble Brewing

Back down in the vaults deep underneath Edinburgh, Lee’s fate will be decided. The Season One finale.

Lee’s dishing out advice to others at the podcast convention. George takes issue with a fellow golfer’s lack of humility. Jane lands a celebrity interview. And Bruce buys over the local radio station.

Has Divine Intervention earned Randy his first big signing? Meanwhile, Bob botches a job for Bruce, Helen sees something she shouldn’t, and Alice shows Doug that there is such a thing as a free dinner.

Episode 22 – The Poet Lorne Sausage (HP Lovecraft Poetry Special)

There’s a Lovecraft themed poetry competition, sponsored by the butcher’s shop in Glenhall. Who’ll enter it? What will they read? And who’ll be crowned The Poet Lorne Sausage?

Episode 23 – Raising the Dead

It’s a new season and a new investigation for The Terror Files. Lee learns the story of a former Miskatonic University professor – and her links to an abandoned hospital on the North coast of Scotland.

Episode 24 – Mysterious Mansion

More details emerge about the old house on the North coast. It was said to have been used as a military “hospital” in the 1940s by a former Miskatonic University professor. Meanwhile, Randy prepares for his first game of the season.

Episode 25 – A Novel Idea

As the trio set off Northwards on their latest investigation, the conversation turns to Doug’s latest creative endeavours. 

Episode 26 – Number 9, Trialist

We plunge into the story world of Doug’s fantasy novel as the battle plans of the Empire and the Dark Coalition are drawn up. Meanwhile, Glenhall have their first game of the season. But can Randy find enough players in time?

Episode 27 – Witches Trials

Bard Leon and Scribe Dougal head to the market to collect some essential supplies for their quest under the mountains.

Episode 28 – The Darkness Under the Mountains

In Doug’s novel, Brutus the Merciless draws up his battle plans to invade the Empire. Meanwhile, Paladin Guinevere, Bard Leon, and Scribe Dougal must face down a hulking cave troll.

Episode 29 – A Hooded Figure

The Terror Files crew arrive at the derelict Drumsyde Manor to investigate the legend of Dr. Laura Chalmers and her Lovecraftian wartime experiments. Meanwhile, Randy’s evening is brightened by news of some potential additions to his team.

Episode 30 – Send Yer Casuals Over Here

The trio prepare to spend the night camped outside the grand ruins of Drumsyde Manor, and it’s time to return to Doug’s novel. 

It’s the eve of the Great War, and it looks like the odds are stacked firmly against the King’s forces. Can they hold out against the armies of the Dark Coalition? 

Episode 31 – Flames

As darkness falls over Drumsyde Manor, the trio gather round the campfire to hear the gripping conclusion of Doug’s High Fantasy manuscript. 

Necromancer Bryar’s undead horde approach the fragile defences of the Southern town wall, prompting the forces of Brutus the Merciless to launch an attack from the North.

Against all odds, can the Empire forces hold out? 

Episode 32 – The Others

More details of the dark history of Drumsyde Manor are revealed – along with the true extent of Professor Chalmers’ horrific Lovecraftian experiments.

Episode 33 – A Dead Sky Over a Dying World

Lee hears a supposed first-hand account of the Drumsyde Manor outbreak. 

He’s encouraged to leave the area as soon as possible.

Episode 34 – Gone

The Season 2 Finale. 

The curtain comes down on The Terror Files‘ trip up North. 

Episode 35 – Spirits of Christmas Past (Christmas Special)

We’re rolling back the years to the peak of Lee’s radio career. It’s Christmas Eve, he’s just finished his shift on Drive Time, and he’s meeting Dougie in the pub for a couple of pints. What could possibly go wrong? 

Episode 36 – Ode to a Podcast (Burns Night Special)

Doug recites some of his poetry to an enthusiastic crowd.

Episode 37 – Fish Supper Over Innsmouth (Halloween Special)

Doug is down in the English seaside town of Innsmouth for his old pal Barney’s leaving do. Barney is a member of the infamous Marsh family, and will soon be leaving Innsmouth to “work offshore”.

The exploration pod picks its way through the carcass of a fallen civilisation.

From the Picts to Planet Nine, the mysteries of this dead world just keep on getting deeper.

A macabre discovery on the pyramid floor throws up yet more questions. And the identity of Lee’s “employer” is finally revealed.

Lee’s been presenting a new radio show called The Power Line. Aside from the usual unbearable local radio content, he’s running a popular paranormal feature with co-presenter Jane. On this episode, we hear the tale of a ghostly Viking attack on a sleepy Scottish coastal village. 

Episode 48 – The Attic

Something has ruffled Dougie’s feathers, as usual. Lee’s all about Total Recall. And we hear the terrifying tale of a demonic presence in a flat in Edinburgh.
